About

My name is Alexandria Steely

I am a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I  specialize in helping teens and young adults find themselves, grow, and be the most confident version they can be. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions. I work alongside my clients, co-piloting as we look to understand and breakdown emotions and feelings. My goal is to help my clients understand that there is no "right" or "wrong" way to feel and there are no "good" or "bad" emotions; that emotions and feelings are simply information that we can use to better understand ourselves and what our brains are trying to tell us.

My Journey

From Athlete to Psychotherapist to Whole-Person Practicioner

Because Strength Has Always Been More Than Physical

Before I was a therapist, before I was certified in fitness and nutrition, I was an athlete. Growing up, being a competitive athlete was my first teacher — discipline, resilience, pushing past limits, trusting my body. But they also taught me some hard lessons about burnout, body image, and the pressure to always do more, achieve more, be more.

Back then, I didn’t have the language for anxiety, perfectionism, or self-worth struggles. I just knew how to out-train them. It wasn’t until later, through my own work in therapy and eventually becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), that I realized how deeply connected our minds and bodies really are.

Therapy became my foundation. I built a career helping my clients. From an Intake Coordinator at 24/7 residential treatment for adults with severe mental illness to then the Assistant Program Director at the same company. To now, focusing on helping teens and young adults understand themselves beyond the anxiety, the self-doubt, the people-pleasing, and the burnout. But over the years, I saw a clear pattern:

Mental health wasn’t the whole story.
Physical health wasn’t either.

The way we treat ourselves — mentally, emotionally, physically — is all intertwined.

So I expanded my practice. I became a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and a Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) — not to move away from therapy, but to bring my clients something I wished I’d had earlier: a space where mental health, movement, and nutrition could exist together, without shame, without extremes, and without disconnect.

Today, my work reflects my journey:

🏃‍♀️ Athlete: Understanding discipline, confidence, and the body-mind relationship firsthand.

🧠 Therapist: Holding space for healing, self-discovery, and mental well-being.

💪 Coach: Guiding clients toward physical strength, nourishment, and sustainable health.

Because true well-being is never just about one part of you.
It's about how you move, how you think, how you treat yourself — every day.
